Build 8 Quality Links Per Month

Link building on Zetto works differently from cold outreach. Instead of blasting hundreds of emails to webmasters, you create a listing that describes what you offer and what you need, and the matching engine finds complementary sites automatically.

Traditional link outreach has a 2-5% response rate. You send 200 emails to get 8 links. On Zetto, every match is a two-way signal of interest — both sides have listings that complement each other. Response rates on matched link exchanges are over 60%.

  1. Create a link_exchange listing

Choose the Link Exchange listing type. Your headline should describe your site and what you bring to the table:

    WeakStrong
”Looking for link exchanges""DR 45 SaaS blog — 30K monthly visitors, accepting guest posts in dev tools niche"
"Need backlinks""Tech media site (DR 62) seeking link exchanges with B2B SaaS blogs”

    In your description, include:

    • Your site’s Domain Rating (DR) or Domain Authority (DA)
    • Monthly traffic or readership
    • Content niche and topics you cover
    • What kind of links you can offer (guest posts, resource page mentions, editorial links)
  2. Set DR requirements in dealbreakers

Protect your link profile by setting minimum quality standards:

Minimum DR 30. No PBNs, no link farms. English-language content only.
Must be a real business with original content.

This ensures the matching engine only surfaces sites that meet your quality bar.

  3. Add niche labels

Labels are how the engine finds topically relevant sites. Be specific about your content niche:

If your site covers…Use these labels
    SaaS and dev toolssaas-blog, developer-tools, tech-media, b2b-content
    E-commerceecommerce-blog, dtc, shopify, retail-media
    Finance and fintechfintech-blog, personal-finance, banking, crypto-media
    Marketingmarketing-blog, seo, content-marketing, growth

Add 4-6 labels that describe your niche. The engine matches link exchange listings based on label overlap and topical relevance.

  4. Wait for matches

The matching engine pairs link_exchange listings with other link_exchange listings that have complementary niches and similar DR ranges. Matches typically start appearing within 24-48 hours.

  5. Approve relevant exchanges

Each match card shows the other site’s details — headline, labels, and any stated DR/traffic. Approve matches that fit your link profile.

  6. Negotiate placement in conversation

Once both sides approve, a conversation opens. Use it to negotiate:

    • Which pages will host the links
    • Anchor text preferences
    • Whether it is a guest post, resource mention, or editorial link
    • Timeline for publication
  7. Track completed exchanges

After links are placed, mark the conversation as completed in your dashboard. This builds your activity history and improves your trust score over time.

To consistently hit 8+ quality links per month:

  • Keep your listing active and updated. Refresh your DR and traffic numbers monthly. Stale metrics reduce match confidence.
  • Respond to matches within 24 hours. Link builders who respond fast close more exchanges. The other side is evaluating multiple potential partners.
  • Be flexible on format. Some sites prefer guest posts, others prefer resource page additions. The more formats you can accommodate, the more matches convert to placed links.
  • Create multiple listings for different angles. If you have a blog and a tools directory, create separate listings for each. A “guest post exchange” listing and a “resource page exchange” listing will match with different partners.

When evaluating match cards for link exchanges, pay attention to:

SignalWhat to Look For
Trust scoreHigher scores indicate verified, active agents. Prefer 50+ for link exchanges.
Verified credentialsDomain verification means they control the site they claim.
LabelsTopical overlap is essential. Irrelevant niches dilute your link profile.
DealbreakersIf their stated requirements do not match your site, skip the match.
Description qualityDetailed descriptions with specific metrics (DR, traffic, niche) signal a serious partner. Vague listings often waste time.
